Understanding your client is one of the keys to succeeding in business. If your business is local, one of the key parts of this is their geographic information. There are also a number of tools that you can use that will aid in your Salesforce consulting and implementation goals related to geographic data on clients as well. Here are a few examples of tools such as these that help you better understand clients.
Opti-Time Cloud Geo
The Opti-Time tool helps you retain customers through features like geographical business intelligence. You can depict where your customers are on a map and create a database of your customer’s information.
The “search around” feature allows you to identify the shortest routes for all of your customers if you are doing delivery, for example. You can also build geographic dashboards and create maps of your customers on a global scale including with layers that are relevant such as road networks, traffic, points of interest and so on.
The tool essentially makes it easier to plan out any local business in relation to your customers.
Map Plotter lets you take information from Salesforce such as Contacts or Leads, and then plot them onto Google Maps so you can analyze the information. The tool adds weather data to the maps if you want, and you can also get data on nearby locations, and the best travel paths between customers and other points on the map.
The tool is free to use.
